2019 ULEZ Diesel Workings

Since you've probably read my previous post, there's not much in the way of changes that can be covered during quarantine, unless you're local to the issue, in which case, don't jump like moths into the flames. You and I being advised to stay in unless necessary, could be droning but so is being told to not finger your nose.

I may already be losing sanity, so to keep myself and yourself as you're reading this to some form of check, I've already listed ahead of time some workings that broke, or nearly broke into the indisputable holy Ultra Low Emission Zone where only hybrids may tread in TfL service, in Central London this was applied in April of 2019. It's April 2020 now and it feels like it's been 84 years.

Fresh reminder, Ultra Low Emission Zone.
As for heavy vehicles (buses, coaches) only Euro 6 diesels are allowed.
On TfL contracted work, all routes into Central London must be hybrid (diesel-electric), all-electric, or hydrogen.
It's fine if the bus is entering in as not in service but for example, if a TE were to go on 91, it would be marked as lost mileage (nonexistent trips) and a heavy fine would be imposed on top of that. In short, just a huge loss of money.
----------

On 9 April the 113 broke in with TE1093, but substituted off at Brent Cross on it's way to Oxford Circus
344 having 9497/9507 do the same, somewhere

Night of 11 April into early morning 12 April, Catford (TL) threw out 19846 on 47.
Hayes (WS) stepped in with their 9530 on route N207.

17/04/19: 19749 (LX11BHN) went on 56 and entered the ULEZ, going the full route to Barbican and St. Bart's.

04-05/05/19. 19866 went on route 53 and entered the ULEZ going the full way to Whitehall and back, at least was tracking so.

05/05/19 19865 went on route 53 and apparently entered ULEZ before finally being subbed.

13/05/19 WVL382 was subbed from 432 at 8:30 onto 87 at 9:30 and worked the route through to the afternoon and entered the ULEZ zone at least once

29/05/19, WVL384 went on 87 but was turned to Lambeth Bridge on its 1500 trip last on line of route at 1532 at Lambeth Bridge. However it appeared in Trafalgar Square at ~1750

05/06/19, 19846 on route 136 which entered Elephant & Castle, which is within the ULEZ.

19/06/19, E254 on route 363 in what seems as a shortage of hybrids for Peckham (PM) who loaned Camberwell (Q)'s MHV14. The bus turned at Bricklayers Arms.

19/06/19, 19745 on route 53, entered ULEZ as it went full route to County Hall.

15/08/19, E249 did do 363 but was cut short at Bricklayers so didn't count. But what counts for this entry? ADE40436 which so happened to be on route 139 and went passed Baker Street on it's way to Trafalgar Square cut short normally from Aldwych.

06/10/2019: 9541 on N207

19/10/2019: WVL367 on N15 00:30-01:20. May/may not have went into TSQ.

15-16/12/2019: WVL279 from New Cross (NX) went on N15...

It is short, there may have been workings I wasn't aware of, in fact the list is, as lazy as I am, off of other people observing them so hats off to you if you were one of them. As for me admitting my crimes, something to pass the time? I shall leave this awkward sin atonement as I wish you all stay safe, and until another dubious post from me next time.

  1. Please work on ensuring your posts flow. They seem really ad-hoc and not really of the same quality of other blogs.

  2. Fair enough, I did have this post as a record, mostly for my own reference but did decide if anyone wanted to look back on it, they can view it.
As for quality, I never started out with quality compared to other blogs in mind, just what I could put out from my perspective and make it worthwhile and readable.

    1. Yah but it really readable if the quality is like that of a pound shop or dollar store
