Mobility route 931

A P13 driver using crystal clear sense by blinding the bus for Abellio, 8218 (YX16OBG) on Crystal Palace Parade
this bus is off 367's allocation
Mobility route 931 (Lewisham Shopping Centre - Crystal Palace Parade)
The least busiest non-temporary route in TfL service at 1146 passengers a year, in 2012/2013 but had a patronage of 2499 in 1999/2000. Busiest mobility route as of now is the 969 (at 3545 per year). I scrambled up every piece of history I could find of the route and here is my article. This route existed prior to 2000 as a matter of fact.

Routing was as follows:

Towards Lewisham:
Crystal Palace Parade, College Road, Dulwich Wood Park, Bowden Drive, Lyall Avenue, Seeley Drive, Bowden Drive, Kingswood Road, Fountain Drive, Westwod Hill, Crystal Palace Park Road, Lawrie Park Road, Westwood Hill, Sydenham Road, Mayow Road, Perry Vale, Woolstone Road, Catford Hill, Catford Road, Rushey Green, Lewisham High Street, Lewis Grove, Lewisham High Street and Lewisham Road.

Towards Crystal Palace:
Lewisham Road, Molesworth Street, Lewisham High Street, Bradgate Road, Brookdale Road, Holbeach Road, Thomas Lane, Catford Road, Catford Hill, Woolstone Road, Perry Vale, Mayow Road, Sydenham Road, Westwood Hill, Lawrie Park Road, Crystal Palace Park Road, Westwood Hill, Fountain Drive, Kingswood Road, Bowden Drive, Lyall Avenue, Seeley Drive, Bowden Drive, Dulwich Wood Park, College Road and Crystal Palace Parade.

Crystals bodied Mercedes-Benz 711D
Crystals operated the service with two trips on Fridays and Monday journeys which I didn't find enough research on, using Mercedes 711D vans. I believe their base was Crayford (FR) which also operated route B14, also used by Tellings-Golden Miller, quite the trek away!

As of 23 February 2002, it was diverted via the double run in Kingswood Drive, via Bowen Drive and Lyall Drive to replace mobility route 932 which was withdrawn on the same date. Monday duties on 931 were discontinued too. It became a Friday only service including Good Friday. It's routing is as previous with these as main points:
Crystal Palace - Kingswood Drive Lyall Avenue - Lawrie Park Road Crystal Palace Park Road -Sydenham Station - Sydenham Road Mayow Road - Perry Vale Mayow Road - Catford Rushey Green - Lewisham Hospital - Lewisham Centre - Lewisham Tesco.

Non-stop section of route 931 between Hillcrest Drive and Lewisham High Street/Ladywell Road, on 8219 (YX16OBH)

Come 27 February 2004, the service was rerouted in Kingswood Drive Estate as per today, via Bowen Drive, Seeley Drive, Lyall Avenue and Bowen Drive in an anticlockwise loop.
Service operated by Tellings-Golden Miller with trips from Crystal Palace at 9:15am and return to Crystal Palace at noon. Express non-stop section introduced between Sydenham Station and Lewisham High Street thus missing out the section it shares with 75 as all-served stops, though this change was precisely 2 years after 75 received 9.9m Tridents.

Metrobus 283 (SN03YCD) on Kingswood Drive on it's way to Lewisham
Metrobus took operation of the route on 26 August 2005 with low-floor short Dennis Dart SLFs on the Plaxton Pointer 2 body sharing with route 336 from Orpington (MB). Express non-stop section further extended from Sydenham Station to Fountain Drive/Westwood Hill.

Double run in High Level Drive introduced on 18 May 2007.

Travel London won the route off Metrobus on 31 May 2008 using buses ex-152 and a PVR of 0 (crosslink in simpler words), withdrawn between Lewisham Tesco and Shopping Centre. Journey times reinstated to 10am from Crystal Palace and 12:50pm from Lewisham. It was also advertised with the usage of dual door buses.

Beddington being Beddington these days ignore the contractual agreement for crosslink ex-152 and throw out any bus from the garage, supposedly spare.

Contract for route 931 has been retained with it's PVR of 0 but crosslinking from both 201/407, Euro 6 EEV* single deckers specified, allocated to 201/407.
